The Story Behind
When we were going through really difficult times, we did a fun project with our mom: we made affirmation cards. Each day, our mom would pull a card and read it to us before school, and that was our affirmation and theme for the day. Despite everything that was happening in our lives, our mom wanted us to feel strong and empowered.
There are so many things that are out of your control; and when you are a child, you don't have a voice in the decisions that are being made about your life.
Looking back, we can see how powerful this simple exercise was in our lives.
